Did you know the air in a newly furnished and painted nursery may contain more than 300 toxic chemicals? Scary isn’t it? As parents, we want nothing more than the best for our children. Unfortunately, sometimes we aren’t aware of the hidden dangers behind (or, in this case, in) the paint, mattresses and toys we give to our little ones to sleep on and even chew on, etc. That is why the moment that I saw this infographic, I knew I had to share it on my blog and help spread the word…or should I rather say “warning”? There are definitely other dangers to consider including flame retardants in other furniture, GMO cotton in your baby’s clothing (100% organic cotton or bamboo fabrics are a GREAT alternative), and electromagnetic fields and radiation from wireless routers, baby monitors, etc. However, this infographic is a fantastic starting point…please scroll down to see the full-sized graphic below.
